Artist Biography: Giuliano was born and lives in Milan, where he attended the School of Graphic Design and studied with important artists; he is an Artist and Photographer. By working on and creating Artist books, he deepened his knowledge of the art of printing. He has collaborated with artists such as: Baj, Fiume, Guttuso, Scanavino, Tadini, Warhol, Vaserely, Rotella, and many others.

He has held numerous exhibitions in Italy and abroad: Rome, Milan, Florence, Potenza, Viggiano, Novara, Beijing, Lugano, Miami, New York, etc. His photographs and artworks have been published by: Rizzoli, Bompiani, Frassinelli, L'Espresso, Panorama, Corriere della Sera, La Stampa, L'Unità

He is knowledgeable in various techniques used in his works, including "cracker art." It is a highly versatile technique, adaptable to any context and subject because it has the ability to adjust and articulate between cinema, photography, video, music, and theater, recombining them at will and giving each piece something unique and special.

Starting from historical, captivating, original, and even modern figures, they have elaborated a production of cuttings, tears that give each image a peculiarity that distinguishes each subject, making it unique in its essence.

Recently, in addition to his already remarkable creation, he has started creating works on plexiglass, starting from the preparation of a digital raw processed with various techniques and transferred to rigid plexiglass support. Subsequently, various manual applications are added, such as: gold leaf, silver, and precious metals applied to the artwork.

Cracker Art: Technical and stylistic procedure that Grittini calls cracker art, or rather a funk art / cracker art that dignifies the lost, the abandoned, the outdated, the out-of-fashion. The words and images, writings and typefaces recorded for centuries, letters, manuscripts, words that smell of earth and sky, the glossy paper, faces, characters, myths, beauties, which, captured, collected, identified, cataloged, probed in their exhilarating readability, find new and targeted fortune. Giuliano and Linda Grittini have given birth to cracker art, and it is certainly no small feat, considering that it is often said that in art everything has already been aired. Sure, but for a transience of culture and art, it is a matter of revisiting the past with a unique and perhaps unrepeatable intellectual ignition, as Giuliano and Linda Grittini have done.
